Pool Rules

The Maple Knoll Homeowners Association has established the following rules for the use of the community pool.  It is the responsibility of each resident to follow the guidelines for the pool in order to maintain a safe environment for all to enjoy.  And even though there are a lot of NO’s, we want to say YES to relaxing in the sun, enjoying time with family and friends and immersing yourself in a mini vacation each time you visit.

1. Please be considerate of other residents when inviting guests to use the pool. No more than four (4) guests per household should be at the pool. A resident of the community must accompany guests at all times. A resident cannot reserve the pool; all residents must have equal access to the pool during operating hours.
2. Children under the age of fourteen (14) are to be accompanied by a responsible adult, as required by the Indiana Health Department. This rule also exists for safety, to limit the HOA liability, and to ensure the pool is enjoyable for residents of all ages. Residents are encouraged to ask children under 14 to leave and report unaccompanied children to Centerpoint.
3. A lifeguard is not required and will not be present during open hours.  Anyone using the pool does so at his or her own risk and assumes sole responsibility.
4. The entrance gate to the pool area must be secured and locked at all times and is not permitted to be standing open.  All homeowners who enter the pool are to enter using an assigned key fob.  The gate is to be closed and secure when entering and leaving the pool.  Please close the gate at any time if found standing open.  Do not allow children to swing or hang on the gate for any reason at this may cause the gate to malfunction.
5. Children must be supervised in the restroom by an adult from the same household.  Residents are responsible for leaving the restrooms in clean condition after use.  Please pick up paper and dispose of properly.  Water from the sinks should be turned off completely.  Ensure all toilets are flushed and there are no messes left anywhere within the restrooms.
6. Please shower before entering the pool.  This is a requirement of the Health Department.
7. Persons having infectious diseases, open sores, bandages, cuts or recent vaccinations must not enter the pool area.
8. Pets are not allowed in the pool area or pool at any time.
9. No street clothes or disposable diapers allowed in the pool.
10. No running, pushing, or rowdy horseplay will be tolerated.  No throwing of hard objects in the pool including frisbees, balls, etc.
11. No Diving.
12. No smoking/vaping in the pool area.
13. No Alcoholic Beverages allowed.  No glass is allowed on the pool deck.  All food must be contained to pool deck area and not in pool.  Trash must be placed in proper receptacles.
14. When lightning is sighted, the pool must be evacuated – 30 minutes from last sighting.
15. When thunder is heard, everyone must leave the pool for 30 minutes from last rumble.
16. The wading pool is for those four years and under and only when accompanied by an adult.
17. The Association is not responsible for lost or stolen articles, accidents or injuries. Please enter park area and pool area at your own risk.
